Thesis: Jillian Michaels is hard working business woman, mother and fitness trainer.
Steps to Success with Jillian
I. I have been to one of her seminars which was at SEMO last September. She spoke on how to never give up on your dreams and to find your “why” in life. She also said, “Don’t be afraid to hope and act because failure is an “integral part of success”. It was a very interesting seminar and I sometimes remind myself of what I am doing and “why” I am going to school again.
II. Succeeding in my goals is the proof that Jillian Michaels is an incredible role model.
III. Having success in her personal weight loss, being a great fitness trainer/coach, best-selling author and mother shows how Jillian Michaels is a great role model.Body
I. Having success in her personal weight loss
A. She was overweight at the age of 13 due to the divorce of her parents and being verbally abused at school.
B. Her mother enrolled her in martial arts, Muay Thai and Akarui-Do which is a sort of self-defense and kickboxing style. She holds a black belt in both of them.
1. She found discipline and found that she can lose weight.
2. She started going to the gym after that.
C. She started training people at the age of 17 when some people noticed some of the moves she was doing in the gym.
D. She went to California State University and graduated.
1. She later became certified in the National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).
a. She is also certified in the Kettlebell Concepts
E. She opened her own gym Sky Sport & Spa, with fellow fitness expert Jackie Warner in 2002.
